We employ a technician who monitors the website server as well as the software and plugins used on the website. We monitor all activity on both the server and website side. The whole website https://www.goldenmonk.com is secured via 256-bit SSL to ensure that any sensitive data submitted within any area of the website cannot be intercepted and interpreted. It is our top priority to ensure customer safety and to block any malicious attempts at data theft

What data breach procedures we have in place
Customer information such as email, phone numbers, names and addresses are stored within a MySQL database. Our technician keeps the MySQL database security up to date at all times. Additionally, we keep plugins and website integrations up to date to provide maximum protection from MySQL attacks and malicious loopholes that outdated plugins and software can cause.

Credit card and banking information are not stored on our servers. Sensitive banking information will never be stored on either our servers or website. This sensitive information is paused solely to the gateways provided. Employees of this website do not have access to this information or the interpretable transmission of it.

Employees do have access to customer accounts where personal information such as email, phone numbers, names and addresses are stored. The reason for this is so they can reset passwords, update addresses and access customer information relating to the order. We monitor our employee activity closely to ensure maximum safety for our users.

What third parties we receive data from
We may receive user information such as IP address and location from various analytics and tracking software. These tracking software use cookies to monitor web traffic activity for analysis. We currently use Statcounter, which is a popular web analytics tracking software. This information is stored within Statcounter.com securely and only our marketing team has access to it. The analytics software will only offer the IP and location of the IP address. Other personal information will not be shown in Statcounter. This information is used solely for this websites analysis of web traffic browsing activity and will not be used for any other purpose other than the analysis of browsing trends related to this website.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We use a website extension called Wordfence. Wordfence is a security extension on our website that profiles for suspicious and malicious users. Visitors may be blocked from the website accidentally if Wordfence detects unusual activity from an IP address.

Text Messaging

We may make available text messaging services through which you can receive messages from us and send messages to us on your mobile phone, which will be governed by the text messaging terms and conditions for the applicable service.
