There was another effort to regulate kratom in Oregon in 2021, but the state’s governor at the time vetoed that bill.

Nevertheless, we think it’s safe to say that kratom’s legal status isn’t likely to be an issue in Oregon’s near future. Thanks to the state’s fairly relaxed laws and regulations about marijuana (recreational marijuana has been legal since 2015), Oregon is certainly welcoming to herbal remedies in general. 

Another reason to stay positive about kratom remaining legal in Oregon is because it passed a Kratom Consumer Protection Act. Hearing the phrase “kratom-related regulations” might sound a little scary. But kratom regulations are good!
