Kratom City may sound like some mythical place that dreams are made of. As a matter of fact it is the premier kratom shop of Wichita, KS. Kratom City has long been one of the hottest spots on W 13th St N., with many Kansans flocking to the area to see it for themselves. This small-town kratom vendor became popular enough to warrant a second location in its home state, but Kratom City is more than a regional herb shop. It’s become something of a transnational operation. Find out everything you need to know about Kratom City and its multiple locations below.
Kratom City was the first store to carry kratom powder and kratom capsules in Wichita. Its flagship location attracted an incredible amount of foot traffic. In light of the increasing demand for kratom on a local level this vendor decided to open a second location. Kratom City South was launched as a kiosk in the Westway Shopping Plaza. In 2018, Kratom City South opened its doors and held an open air barbecue, inviting its new customers to come down for a burger and some free kratom samples. By 2019, this vendor was pulling out all the stops, offering special 4/20 specials and free gifts to its growing roster of patrons. 20% off deals on kratom strains and an assortment of other ethnobotanical goodies followed. Our research suggests that Kratom City is more than a pair of brick-and-mortar kratom shops. Evidence suggests that Kratom City is owned by the folks at Down to Earth KS, another retail outlet that bills itself as a “metaphysical shop.” More significantly, the emergence of Kratom City’s newly relaunched website at Kratomcity.com appears to show the company’s headquarters in the Netherlands.
Its About Us page offers little insight into its founder(s) or background, except to assure visitors that it is a medium-sized company with a desire to keep prices low. The site’s Contact Us page displays Jollesweg 5 7602 CZ Almelo as this vendor’s mailing address, while its telephone number is listed as 0031-(0)546-707025. What’s more, its prices are not displayed in US Dollars but in Euros.
As we mentioned earlier, Kratom City does not volunteer much information about its operations. It has made no claims about third-party laboratory testing, nor has it disclosed any certificates of analysis from the same.
According to its loyal customers, Kratom City is a legitimate company with quality kratom products. However, there is little available information to corroborate such assertions. That being said, reviews have been positive and this brand has received five-star ratings on various business pages.
Kratom City carries a wide range of ethnobotanicals, including kratom powder, imphepho, kanna powder, and maca extract. Many of its land-based establishments stock a cornucopia of natural gems, novelty gifts, and handmade items.
This vendor stocks a wealth of exotic strains, including all of the following:
The site seems to function as a source for small-batch kratom, with kratom powder selling in ounces only. No kilos. Prices start at € 16.00 for an ounce. More on pricing in a moment.
Kratom City offers many of its exotic strains in capsule form. Encapsulated kratom has become the preferred method of use for many active M. speciosa enthusiasts. If you’re on the go a lot, you’ll find it easy to appreciate kratom capsules anywhere and at any time. Batches of Kratom City Kratom Capsules start at $21 for an unspecified amount of caps.
This vendor charges € 16 for a single ounce, with two ounces going for € 15, four ounces going for € 14, eight or more ounces selling for € 13, or sixteen ounces selling for € 12.00. At € 12 for sixteen ounces, you are paying the equivalent of $14.28 USD. This equates to about thirty-one cents per gram, which is far from low by online standards. While it is not uncommon for smoke shops to charge exorbitant prices for kratom powder and kratom capsules, it is rare that an online brand commits this level of price gouging.
It is not clear whether Kratom City ships via DHL or another international carrier. Its payment options and general lack of detailed information gave us reservations about placing an order. According to the site, customers receive free shipping on orders of € 50 or more.
You can pay by bank transfer, Giropay, iDeal, Mistercash, Mybank, or Sofortbanking. Unfortunately, COD (Cash On Delivery), CashApp, and credit cards do not appear to be accepted.
There is a relative scarcity of consumer reviews online, but the few reviews we were able to find were largely supportive. One user said, “Awesome service. The employee was incredibly friendly and told me things about kratom that I had no idea about!” Another customer wrote, “The people and quality of product at this store are absolutely top notch! I have never had a bad or negative experience here and cannot recommend them high enough! I have been a customer here for over a year now and truly feel like family when I go in.”
In summary, Kratom City is a questionable vendor with a confusingly convoluted background. Although it carries some interesting strains, there is no way to know whether they are safe or fresh. Kratom City does not participate in the AKA’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) program, nor does it post third-party labs to its online store. Despite a smattering of consumer recognition, we have been unable to find compelling evidence to support this vendor’s legitimacy. Therefore, we are unwilling to recommend Kratom City to our readers.
