Herbs and More Kratom Product Review

Located at 5740 Old Cheney Rd. Suite # 8 in Lincoln, NE’s Old Cheney Plaza, Herbs & More is a quaint ma and pa apothecary with a modern flare. The proprietors source most of their products locally, including handcrafted soaps, essential oils, and freshly dried herbs.

In 2015, new owners Jethro Hopkins and Julie Boyd purchased the business from its original owners and set about expanding its variety. Hopkins & Boyd decided to combine their experience as a naturalist and massage therapists, respectively, to better serve the public. After resounding interest from its local customers, Hopkins & Boyd proudly announced the introduction of kratom products in April 2017.

Herbs and More Kratom bears the distinction of being the first retail-based kratom supplier to offer detailed third-party lab results on all of its kratom strains. This extends from its in-house brand, Bridge the Gap, to its third-party wholesale brand, Blissful Botanicals.

This seller’s collection includes a small but satisfying variety of green vein, red vein, and white vein kratom powder. Additionally, Herbs and More carry gold kratom and yellow strains. Its catalog consists of Gold Maeng Da, Green Maeng Da, Red Bali, Red Horn Thai, Red MD, and Yellow Maeng Da, respectively.

What It Costs & How It Compares

This may be the most affordable kratom retailer in the Midwestern United States, with an ounce of kratom powder selling for just five bucks. You can get a quarter kilo for $40, five hundred grams for $60, or a full kratom kilo for as little as $85.00.

In light of the current economic climate and the rampant inflation we are seeing across the industry it is surprising to see a brick-and-mortar proprietor offering Mitragyna speciosa at such a reasonable price point. When compared to its e-commerce counterparts it is obvious that Herbs and More Kratom is ahead of the curve.

For the sake of comparison, Herbs and More charges $85 for one thousand grams of Bridge the Gap kratom, while vendors like Amazing Botanicals are charging $109.99 for their in-house brands. Herbs and Kratom sells a kilo of Blissful Botanicals for $160, while vendors like Oasis Kratom charge as much as $194.99 for the same.

This supplier currently accepts cash and credit/debit cards. You can inquire about alternative payment options by calling (402) 423-7733.

Herbs and More Kratom Complaints

There has been very little negative feedback regarding this shop and its management. The only one that stands out is a one-star review from a disgruntled buyer, which reads, “Placed an order … still have yet to be notified if it was made … the employee informed me that the owner does all the pricing … and said she’s only there a few times a week, so he wrote my name & phone number down on a post-it note and said she would have to call me … which has never happened.”

Is It Lab-Tested?

Herbs and More Kratom may be some of the safest, cleanest kratom around. Co-owner Jethro Hopkins is the only land-based vendor we’ve encountered who volunteers to pull up third-party lab results for customer edification. Hopkins even goes so far as to divulge which strains are testing lower for Mitragynine concentration than others.

If you would like to find out more about purity and potency, you can call the store and request a rundown of current alkaloid concentrations and microbial/heavy metal analysis. This retailer is as transparent as one can hope for, which is refreshing in an age of ever-more-prevalent misinformation.

Are Herbs and More Kratom Legit?

Yes. This brick-and-mortar kratom supplier is a genuine article. Its shop is clean, its staff is health-conscious, and its business model aligns with current health and safety measures. Curbside pickup and contactless delivery are available upon request.

For everyone else, the Herbs and More Kratom in-store shopping experience will be a relaxed and educational one, as the employees make its patrons feel right at home. Staff will walk you through the intricate differences between products and fill you in on the origins of disparate kratom strains.

Though it has no affiliation with nonprofit kratom advocacy organizations or watchdog groups, Herbs and More Kratom is a legitimate operation by true independent artisans with an authentic passion for all-natural ethnobotanicals.

American Kratom Association

This vendor does not participate in the AKA’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) program, nor is it listed as one of I Love Kratom’s Approved Vendors. This is unfortunate, as GMP accreditation is something of a badge of honor among the top kratom brands.

Vendors as varied as Austin Organic Village and Whole Herbs Kratom are among the forty-plus brands currently participating in the program, with more joining every day. Those who participate are seen as being open, honest, and committed to future kratom legality.

That being said, Herbs and More follow all guidelines set forth by OSHA. Its facilities are regularly sanitized and its staff complies with state public health requirements.

Closing Thoughts

Between its thorough laboratory testing, its forthcoming approach to customer service, and its cut-rate pricing on retail products, Herbs, and More Kratom is in the upper echelon of land-based apothecaries. Its Mitragyna speciosa strains are properly inspected, easy to differentiate, and obviously robust.
