Kratom Trading Company (KTC) first launched in 2013. This Florida based vendor hasn’t gained as much attention as some of the other long-lasting online stores, but that’s not due to a lack of quality. In fact, as we’ll explore later in this review, most of the online chatter about KTC is very positive.

The first thing you’re likely to notice about this vendor is that they have a streamlined, easy to use site. Kratom Trading Company also takes a hardline stance against dubious vendors that irresponsibly misrepresent Mitragyna speciosa. In other words, if you prefer to support companies that are fighting the good fight to keep Kratom legal, KTC is a good option to add to your list.
After clicking on Buy Kratom, you’ll be taken to Kratom Trading Company’s easy to sort list of Mitragyna speciosa powders, capsules, blends, and accessories. Their products tend to sell out frequently, so they also list their top in-stock items on the left sidebar.
Kratom Trading Company sells four powder sizes: 1 oz sample, 250g, 500g, and 1 kilo (1,000g). We love that they use simplified pricing that makes it easy to know how much you’re going to spend. All of their Kratom powder and blends are priced the same. A 1 oz sample is $10, 250g sells for $40, 500g (1/2 kilo) retails for $80, and 1 kilo (1,000g) is $160. As you can see, there are no price breaks as the amount of Kratom increases.
KTC’s capsules come in one size only. They sell 250g of powder encapsulated for $105. When you consider the fact that you can get 500 empty capsules for $12, plus a capsule machine for $20 and a digital pocket scale for $20 from their online shop, it seems a bit silly to not take the plunge into filling up your own capsules. After all, you could get everything, including 250g of powder, for $92. And after the first time, you won’t have to buy the machine or scale again, nor will you run out of capsules any time soon.
As of January 2020, KTC doesn’t appear to have many (if any) active coupon codes. We did find one that might still be working:
They do offer a rewards program and some regular discounts. For example, all orders over $100 ship for free. They offer a $5 coupon for every 500 points rewards club members earn. Please note that this program maxes out at $50 in coupons, though. You can also ask for one free sample in the notes section of your order.
The limited buzz about the Kratom Trading Company has been overwhelmingly positive. On Double M Herbals, a reviewer said that KTC’s products are “worth every single penny.” They went on to say that the company’s Red Borneo is “potent as f*ck.”
Over on Reddit, there are two threads dedicated to KTC. In the first thread, a newbie to Kratom said, “the powder was very fine…I would definitely use them again.” The second thread indicates that KTC’s Energetic Bali Blend is “awesome” and that their overall quality “was above average.”
KTC takes a confusing stance by stating they 100% back their products but then also saying they don’t accept any returns. Redditors are a bit mixed about this vendor’s customer service as well. One thread says, “they responded within the hour and were very helpful and considerate.” Another person in the same discussion opined that “their customer service and shipping is excellent.”
On the other hand, a Redditor who loved their products wasn’t as impressed with their customer service: “I sent them an email that they did not respond to.” Emails can go awry, so we always recommend emailing twice before coming to any conclusions about a vendor’s customer service and legitimacy.
Kratom enthusiasts have a good reason to like the Kratom Trading Company. Their products are repeatedly rated as better than average, and they have a pretty solid reputation for fast shipping. The primary complaint about this vendor is that their pricing is high.
