The Kratom Depot is a Mississippi brick and mortar location that sells Mitragyna speciosa. Not to be confused with the old KratomDepot.com, which went out of business after the owner passed away, The Kratom Depot apparently has a website URL but hasn’t finished setting it up.
Therefore, it’s difficult to know for certain if this vendor is willing to ship to customers outside the local area or if they offer in-person shopping only. The best way to find out what your options are is to call them during regular business hours.
We were very disappointed to get an error message when we attempted to visit this vendor’s listed website. It looks like The Kratom Depot registered their domain but never completed the process of connecting the domain to a Shopify store. Instead, all we’ve got to go on is their Facebook page and Google Business listing.
The Facebook page is used mostly for Kratom advocacy and includes posts about the latest American Kratom Association activity. One of the very few posts that’s directly connected to the brick and mortar store advised customers that The Kratom Depot was remaining opening for their regular hours (8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Sunday) throughout the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
Although the stock at every Kratom vendor – especially those selling in a physical storefront location – is subject to change at any time, we do know that The Kratom Depot boasts a large selection. This is most likely the primary reason that the store has thrived for years. After all, if you’re going to pay high in-person prices for Kratom, you’ll want to at least have an extensive list of options to choose from. Their strains include:
Keep in mind that The Kratom Depot may or may not have all these varieties available at any given time. Therefore, it’s always best to call first and confirm what’s in stock.
The last time we were able to verify their pricing, The Kratom Depot had powder for 70 cents per gram and loose leaf for $21.35 per ounce. They also offer a rewards program to help regular customers earn free products.
Unfortunately, these decent sounding prices don’t translate to a good overall deal. Those who like to buy Kratom in bulk will be very disappointed to learn that ½ a kilo retails for the astounding rate of $350. Getting 1 kilo isn’t quite as awful, comparatively speaking, at $430. However, when you consider that you an get 1 kilo for $89.99 from The Golden Monk, it becomes easy to see just how much of a rip-off The Kratom Depot’s prices are.
If you’re going to buy Kratom from a vendor with such outrageously high regular prices, you’re probably going to want a solid promo code to make the purchase a little more worthwhile. Alas, that’s not something you’re going to find for this vendor. The best you can do is to sign up for their in-store rewards program and keep an eye out for any sales. If their website, YourKratomDepot.com ever comes online, we hope that they’ll offer a better price to internet customers.
We honestly don’t know how or why with their insane pricing, but this vendor has built a lot of goodwill in their local community. For instance, Google Reviews currently showcases a 4.4-star average out of 24 reviews. Here’s a few of their best and worst reviews for your consideration.
Most of the customers who reviewed this vendor on Google seem happy enough with their customer service. One of our contemporaries, though, had a very different experience.
“When I called to inquire about their strains and pricing, the clerk I spoke to belched loudly in my ear, copped an attitude and made it clear that he was annoyed by having to rattle off the various names of their products.”
So, what did locals have to say? Per Google Reviews:
As you can see, The Kratom Depot seems to have quality stuff. However, their pricing is simply insane. Even at the seemingly low price of 70 cents per gram, smaller quantities are way more expensive than they need to be. Getting 28 grams (1 ounce) will set you back almost $20 before taxes. That’s the type of price Kratom enthusiasts should never pay unless they’ve run out of Mitragyna speciosa between online orders.
To put these prices into perspective for you, The Golden Monk sells 250g (8.8 ounces) for $39.99. This same amount would cost $175 at The Kratom Depot, and that’s just way too much.
