Named after its place of origin, Sunda Kratom is one of the latest strains to become available. The Sunda Islands are between four countries: East Timor, Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Although most people don’t realize it, the Islands are also the main source for Bali, Borneo, and Sumatra Kratom.
The very best of this strain is cultivated from the Sunda Islands. That’s because the natural biodiversity provides the Kratom with a high concentration of 7-Oh-Mitragynine, Mitragynine, and a whole host of other alkaloids. The Islands also have a naturally tropical climate with humid and hot conditions.
On Reddit, several people really like the Gold vein.
Reddit members also rave about the Red vein: “Yeah, I like Red Sunda alot myself. In fact, as much as I do Red Bali.” Regarding the White vein, a Redditor said, “I have a bag of the Sunda from the same batch and I LOVE it!!! This stuff is very energetic! it’s perfect for work.”
As with any other strain, there are subtleties to the different veins. Here’s a quick guide to what to expect.
It’s not nearly as common as Borneo or Bali, but you can still find a variety of Sunda veins from the following vendors:
You can get anywhere between 20g and 50g for between $5.99 and $14. If you decide to upgrade to approximately 4 ounces, it could cost you anywhere from $23.99 to $40. Choosing 250g is much easier, as it is priced between $34.99 and $39.99. Those of you who love to buy a kilo will find pricing to be higher than many other strains. In fact, the pricing for a kilo ranges from $149 all the way up to $260.
As far as capsules are concerned, they are quite rare for this particular strain.
As always, one of the most important things to do when you buy Kratom is make sure that you’re getting a quality product for a good price. Choose the vendor you feel most comfortable with, regardless of the which one is more or less expensive.
